Pacific Gold began in 2009 as a single villa on a quiet bay, and grew only when we were sure we could grow without losing what made it worth visiting. 17 years on, we keep 140 rooms and suites, three kitchens and one gaming rooms, and we still turn away more business than we take.
Luxury, to us, is not marble and gold leaf. It is the second coffee you did not have to ask for, the driver who remembers your name, the table held an hour past closing because you were still talking. We hire for that instinct and we keep the people who have it.
Most of our guests come back, and that is the whole strategy. We would rather 55 percent of a smaller number return every year than chase a larger one that never does.
